Hey there! You’re probably reading this because you’re planning a wedding. Congratulations! I hope everything is going as smoothly as possible for you.
If all goes well, I’ll be photographing you during one of your biggest life milestones. I’m going to take this quick moment for an intro-- we shouldn’t be strangers!
My name is Emilee Baxter. I live in Ashland, Louisiana, roughly 40 minutes north of Natchitoches and an hour south of Shreveport. I live with my husband, Sam, and our pets.
I’ve been with my husband for over a decade, and we were married by a Justice of the Peace on August 25, 2017 with our mothers, Danielle and Lisa, as our witnesses. It was a Friday, the day after Sam’s birthday. We celebrated by going to
the Natchitoches Chili’s. Yes, I know what you’re thinking… we really know how to party!
I strive to provide the absolute best service to my couples. I know, everyone says that. I also know that before you landed on this page, you probably had about twenty tabs pulled up on your phone full of websites from local photographers. The very fact that you thought I had something special-- special enough to warrant to keep reading-- means so much.
My favorite part of the wedding day isn’t the cake, nor is it the first kiss as husband and wife; it’s the little moments that have big impact. The bride being zipped into her dress by her mother, the father of the groom getting teary-eyed during the ceremony, the couple taking a breather and relaxing, alone, before heading into the reception.
Those sweet moments mean so much more to me because they’re real. You and your loved ones acting the way they do. That’s what I want to capture. In my opinion, those are the real gems of the wedding day.
